As we head into a new season of dance we want to share the value of offering a dress code at your studio. Dress codes are an important part of dance studios. Not only is dress code an important stream of revenue for your business. What dancers wear to class can alter the attitude and performance of all dancers in class and later on stage.

Here are 6 benefits to having a dress code:

1.  Eliminates Distractions

Dancers need to focus in class and many times their clothes (or other dancers clothes) can distract them.

2.  Allows Dancers to Move Properly

Improper clothing can impact technique and precision; having a dress code ensures teachers can see and correct for proper body alignment.

3.  Increases Focus

Puts the dancer in the right mindset. When they put on the proper clothes it signals that it's time to get ready for class.

4. Improves Confidence

When students look like dancers, they feel like dancers, and it shows in their confidence and attitude.

5.  Creates Cohesiveness

Makes the dancers feel like they are part of a team.

6.  Teaches Respect

We choose a dress code that is modest and age appropriate. Dancers at all levels can benefit from wearing proper attire when they practice and perform.
